Full Time Score: Glenstal 16-18 Castletroy.
This highly contested match was won by the two tens and a missed kick from either side could have spelt defeat. Jamie Heuston began the scoring early on as Castletroy mauled half the field and received a penalty in front of the posts which was slotted over. Glenstal responded just a few minutes later with a fantastic kick from one of the stars of the day who is in Transition Year Ben Healy. Healy then kicked Glenstal into the lead after a few more minutes before Jamie Heuston replied with a great kick.
However, things soon turned bad for the Trojans who lost Heuston to a shoulder injury and Stephen Atkinson was given the responsibility of the 10 jersey. While Heuston was down Glenstal struck in the corner with the try scored by Mark Fleming and Ben Healy converting from the corner.
Castletroy came back into the game soon after that with Sean English scoring in the corner (Conversion Missed) and Alan Fitzgerald also putting his mark on the score-line (Atkinson Conversion Made). Ben Healy added another penalty to put Glenstal just two points behind but Castletroy were able to hold onto the lead and the game finished 16-18.
