Ardscoil defeated Clements this afternoon with a final score of 18-12.
Both teams were evenly matched early on until Eoghain Shelock’s attempted chip was blocked by Adam Marshall of Clements whom gracefully ran home for a try as his side went in 7-0 at half time.
After the restart, Ardscoil pushed forward and raced into a 10-7 lead from a penalty from Adam MacNamara and a try from hooker Stephen Clery.
This however was followed by a stunning SCC try in the corner by David Bridgeman and Clements went 12-10 up. Ardscoil kept probing though, and took the lead just minutes from time with a penalty from Ger Higgins. Soon later, they closed the game out as a try from Jack Ward-Murphy put the game out of Clements’ reach.
Final score: ASR 18-12 SCC
