SENIOR CUP REPORT: CBC Comfortably Cruise Past Crescent

A repeat of last year’s Senior Cup Final ended with same team coming out on top. CBC dominated the game from the outset and proved too strong for a poor looking Crescent side.

First score of the game came from a James Taylor penalty after 10 minutes and Christian’s  kept the pressure on to score their first try from Sean Duffy after a well-worked line out.

Haftime Score: CBC 8-0 Crescent Comprehensive

In the second half CBC kept the score board ticking over with three successive tries coming from Scott Buckley, Richard Thompson and Finn Burke.

Crescent looked dangerous at times but good work at the break down from CBC and a try-saving tackle from Antony Ryan meant CBC remained 30 points ahead.

Crescent did however manage to grab a late try to limit the damage to 25 points but it was too little too late for the Limerick School.

Final Score: CBC 30-5 Crescent Comprehensive.

The Junior fixture between the sides meanwhile finished 15-15 with CBC advancing to the quarter finals via the first try rule.
