The second round is upon and that means another preview and another week of exhilarating schools rugby.
PBC Vs Ardscoil
Irish Independent Park. Tuesday, 2pm KO
Castletroy may have shocked PBC in the first round, but don’t be surprised to see them bounce back in impressive fashion and overcome the challenge of a hard-working Ardscoil outfit.
Verdict: PBC by 10
Glenstal Vs St Clement’s
University Of Limerick. Wednesday, 1pm KO
Clement’s came out on top in this fixture last season and will be excited by the prospect of making it two in a row over Glenstal. The Limerick City side are in confident mood after testing Crescent to the full in the opening round and a 24-0 loss to the impressive Rockwell may well have left one or two doubts in the minds of the Glenstal men. If ever there was a chance for Clement’s to make a name for themselves in Cup rugby, this could be it.
Verdict: Clement’s by 3
